Nadine Takvorian is an artist and illustrator based in San Francisco. She has previously been part of the Industrial Light & Magic art department, and has also been an art director in children’s book publishing.

Her clients include Picture Window Books (an imprint of Capstone), Scholastic, Sugar Hill Records, Mind Control Software, Autumn Moon Entertainment, Kerner Optical, and Utne Reader.

Nadine's artwork from the children's book The Flight of the Sunflower has shown at the New York Society of Illustrators "The Original Art" juried exhibition, celebrating the fine art of children's book illustration. She has also exhibited her work at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco.

Her award-winning animated short Elegy has screened at several major festivals including Slamdance, and the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, and won the Special Jury Award for Animation at South by Southwest (SXSW).

A Bay Area native, she is blissfully happy to be living in San Francisco by the sea, listening to the foghorns at night. In her spare time she likes to climb rocks, sculpt figures, tinker on the piano, and dance tango.
